| dc.description.resumo | The surgical procedure for removal of the included lower third molars is one of the routine procedures performed by the maxillofacial surgeon and also by professionals who have experience in small oral surgery. If there is an indication for the removal of included teeth, it is essential that the surgeon has knowledge, technique, and perform a good planning through anamnesis, clinical examination and radiographic examinations. Through anamnesis and clinical examination, data are obtained on the general and dental health of the patient and through radiographic examinations, the level of difficulty of the surgical procedure. With all of these safe procedures, they can minimize postoperative complications such as edema, pain, hemorrhage, trismus, paresthesia of the inferior alveolar nerve and lingual nerve, alveolar osteitis and infections. The objective of the study was to address complications in the postoperative period of the third lower molar included through a literature review. Proper planning, knowledge and technique of the surgeon are important factors for the prevention of possible postoperative complications. | En |

| dc.description.abstract | O procedimento cirúrgico para remoção dos terceiros molares inferiores inclusos é um dos procedimentos rotineiros realizados pelo cirurgião buco maxilo facial e também por profissionais que têm experiência em cirurgia oral menor. Havendo a indicação para a remoção de dentes inclusos, é fundamental que o cirurgião tenha conhecimento, técnica, e realize um bom planejamento por meio da anamnese, exame clínico e exames radiográficos. Através da anamnese e exame clinico, se obtém dados sobre a saúde geral e odontológica do paciente e através dos exames radiográficos, o nível de dificuldade do procedimento cirúrgico. Com todos esses cuidados podem minimizar as complicações no pós-operatório como edema, dor, hemorragia, trismo, parestesia do nervo alveolar inferior e nervo lingual, osteíte alveolar e infecções. O objetivo do trabalho foi abordar as complicações no pósoperatório de terceiro molar inferior incluso através de uma revisão de literatura. A realização de um planejamento adequado, o conhecimento e técnica do cirurgião são fatores importantes para prevenção de possíveis complicações no pós-operatório. | en_US |
